CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies (CST-L3)

This qualification is intended for candidates who have already acquired the CSK-L2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and want to:

* Take the next step in training to become a counsellor.

* Learn more about counselling theory, ethics and mental health.

* Be prepared for work in a supporting role.


The Certificate…

The certificate in Counselling Studies programme is a part-time course where you will learn about counselling theory, ethics and mental health, learn more about the counselling relationship and practise counselling skills. The course is highly interactive, combining formal teaching with individual, small group and whole group activities. This qualification could lead to employment in a related field.

This qualification could lead to employment or increase employ-ability for those whose role is to support others in e.g. health and social care work, teaching and learning, advocacy and mediation, support and project work, other helping roles.

Progression

Successful learners may progress onto the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (TC-L4).

Entry Requirements

You must have completed the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in CounsellingSkills to apply for the CST-L3 course.

All prospective candidates will be interviewed.
