Community wellbeing charity Number 22 has opened applications for its accredited Counsellor Training Courses starting in January 2026. The courses, available online and in person in Maidenhead, provide an accessible pathway for anyone interested in beginning or developing a career in counselling and mental health.

Number 22’s training pathway includes the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies, and the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. All courses are Ofqual regulated and awarded through CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body), with the Level 4 Diploma also approved by BACP.

“No previous experience is needed to join our Level 2 course, so it’s a fantastic entry point for anyone considering a new direction,” said Emily Warburton, CEO at Number 22. “Our mission is to grow the next generation of skilled, compassionate counsellors, and these courses are designed to be both accessible and life changing.”

Over the past decade, Number 22 has supported thousands of people across Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough, and the surrounding areas through free and low-cost counselling.
