Placements

We welcome qualified counsellors to join our volunteer team and also offer placements to counsellors in training who are qualified to at least certificate standard and working towards their diploma.

Students who successfully qualify for a placement will be supported by the management team and will initially work with two adult clients and one young person (additional client work can be added if required by the student). CPCAB endorsed training is available to enable you to fulfil the BACP competencies required to work with young people. All counsellors (qualified and in training) work under supervision which is provided free of charge.

Applications

Applicants are rigorously assessed before placements are offered. We work in a predominantly person-centred way although all humanistic approaches will be considered.
